Intermediate First Aid + CPR-BLS
BLS is the baseline CPR level, so choose it at checkout.
Georgian's Paramedic program requires Intermediate First Aid with CPR at the BLS level to keep your clinical permit current before placements. BLS (Basic Life Support) is the baseline healthcare-provider CPR level, so CPR-A or CPR-C will not meet the requirement.
At Barrie First Aid this is one blended course: 9 hours online at your own pace, then a 7.5-hour in-class day minutes from campus. Select BLS as your CPR level when you book.

- The full requirement is a single course (Intermediate First Aid & CPR at BLS ($138 + HST)) which certifies both at once.
- Intermediate First Aid is valid 3 years, but the CPR-BLS certificate is valid for one year and is renewed every year, so you renew just the CPR part in between.
- For that CPR-only renewal, take our CPR & AED course at the BLS level ($73 + HST) rather than repeating the whole course.

What certification does the Georgian Paramedic program require?
Intermediate First Aid with CPR at the BLS level. That is our Intermediate First Aid & CPR course ($138 + HST) with BLS chosen at checkout. The first aid certificate is valid 3 years and the CPR-BLS certificate renews every year.
How often does each part renew?
Your Intermediate First Aid is valid 3 years, but the CPR-BLS certificate is valid for one year and is renewed every year, so you take a CPR-only renewal between full renewals.
My First Aid is valid but my CPR-BLS is expiring. What do I book?
Book the standalone CPR & AED course at the BLS level ($73 + HST) to renew just the CPR component, without repeating the full first aid course.
Do I need Level A, Level C, or BLS?
BLS. The Paramedic program requires the BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR level, not A or C.
