A real training centre, not a rented room

Barrie First Aid & CPR Training runs first aid and CPR courses from a dedicated, fully equipped classroom at 4 Alliance Blvd, minutes from Georgian College, with free parking at the door. Certificates are issued by Assured Response, a WSIB-approved training provider.

Who we are

We train the people who end up being the first ones there: the designated first aider on a shop floor, the PSW student heading into placement, the coach on the sideline, the parent who wants to know what to do.

Our courses are deliberately built around one focused day. The theory is done online at home, at your own pace, so the time you spend with us is spent on your hands and knees practising compressions, using an AED, and working through the situations you would actually face, not sitting through slides you could have read yourself.

We are an affiliate of Assured Response, delivering its First Aid Program. That is not a badge we award ourselves, and it is the part worth checking: every certificate that comes out of this room is issued by Assured Response, a WSIB-approved training provider, our first aid course content meets CSA Z1210:24, and every instructor who teaches here is listed on the Assured Response public registry, searchable by name or instructor ID.

If you ever need to prove who taught you, or what you hold, you can look it up yourself rather than take our word for it.

The practical side is deliberately hands-on. You will be on the floor doing compressions, so we ask for indoor shoes or socks, and we check government photo ID at the door because your certificate carries your full legal name. Classes start on time and seats are limited, which is the reason our course policies are as firm as they are: a seat held for someone who does not arrive is a seat nobody else could take.

Where your certification actually comes from

“WSIB-approved” gets used loosely. Here is exactly what stands behind the certificate you leave with, and how you can check it yourself.

1. You train with us

Barrie First Aid & CPR Training delivers the course: the online theory and the hands-on day at our Alliance Blvd centre.

2. Assured Response issues the certificate

We are an affiliate of Assured Response. Your certificate is issued by Assured Response, a WSIB-approved training provider.

3. First aid courses follow CSA Z1210:24

The first aid course content follows CSA Z1210:24, the Canadian standard for first aid training that Ontario workplace requirements are built on.

Every instructor is publicly listed

CSA Z1210:24 requires training providers to keep a record of their certified instructors. Assured Response publishes that record: you can look up any instructor by name or by their instructor ID and confirm they are certified to teach the course you are taking.

What a day with us looks like

No hotel conference rooms, no shared meeting spaces booked by the hour. One address, one classroom, set up for training.

A dedicated classroom

Equipped for training and set up before you arrive, with manikins, AED trainers and supplies ready to go.

Free parking at the door

Park right outside on Alliance Blvd. No meters, no permits, no hunting for a spot before class.

One day, not two

The theory is done at home at your own pace, so the in-class portion stays short and practical.

Hands-on the whole time

Compressions, AED use, choking, bleeding control, practised until they feel automatic.

Built for Georgian students

We list the exact certification for the Georgian programs that require one, so you book the right level the first time.
