Public Blended Course Cancellation, Attendance & Rebooking Policy

Course Structure & Requirements

All requests MUST be made through email. Text Messages, whatsapp, phone calls or any other ways of communication will not be considered official notice for moving dates, cancellations or refunds. Email must be sent to info@barriefirstaidtraining.com

Our public blended courses consist of:

  1. A mandatory online training component, and

  2. A scheduled in-person training session

The online component must be completed before attending the in-person class.

  • Participants who have not completed the online training are not permitted to attend the in-person session.

  • Participants who arrive without completing the online training will be required to leave and must pay to rebook into a future class.

Refund Policy (Before Booking an In-Person Date)

Refunds are based on the status of the online training and whether an in-person date has been booked.

Important: All approved refunds are subject to a $5 non-refundable processing fee to cover credit card processing costs, which are not returned to us by our payment provider.

  • Online training not started & no in-person date booked:
100% refund (minus $5 processing fee)

  • Online training started but not completed & no in-person date booked:
90% refund (minus $5 processing fee)

  • Online training completed & no in-person date booked:
50% refund (minus $5 processing fee)

Online training access is issued immediately upon registration and cannot be reused once completed.

Once an In-Person Date Is Booked

Cancellations

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled in-person course date.

Date Changes / Transfers

  • No date changes or transfers are permitted within 7 days of the course date.

  • This includes requests to move to a later public course.

Public courses have limited seating. Missed or unused seats cannot be reassigned at short notice.

Illness, Emergencies & Late Requests

We understand that unexpected situations happen.

  • Notification must be provided at least 48 hours before the course start time.

  • Requests made 48+ hours in advance may be reviewed case by case.

Less than 48 hours’ notice:

  • No refunds will be issued

  • The participant will be required to pay to rebook

Review Timeline for Late Requests

  • Any requests for refunds, transfers, or exceptions made within 7 days of the scheduled in-person course date will require internal review.

  • Decisions on these requests may take up to 72 hours to complete.

  • This review period allows us to assess course capacity, instructor availability, and participant history before responding.

  • Submitting a request does not guarantee approval, and the course may proceed as scheduled during the review period.
